Meilleur
Minimal Strand-area stay near the historic seaport
About this hotel
Meilleur offers a minimal stay within the Strand's historic core, seven minutes' walk from the Strand Historic Seaport Partnership and a minute from the Market Street and Tremont Avenue corner. Blum & Co. sits two minutes away for a nearby stop. Published amenities are limited, which places this among the district's smaller, simpler lodging options rather than a full-service hotel, suited to a traveler who wants a central base rather than resort extras, and the top guest rating suggests the location and simplicity together work well for the kind of short, walkable stay the property is set up for, particularly for a guest who plans to spend most waking hours exploring rather than sitting in the room.
- Historic district location
- Walkable to the Strand
Our take
This suits solo travelers and couples wanting a simple, centrally located stay within walking distance of the Strand's shops and the depot. Families needing a pool or full amenities should look elsewhere, since the property leans toward simplicity over a long feature list. Confirming details directly before booking is worth the extra step given the limited published information available online.

- Use the central Market Street location to reach both the Strand and the depot on foot
- Walk to Blum & Co. or further into the Strand for meals nearby
Why we love it

- Minimal, simple stay
- Walkable to the depot
Why guests love itA traveler wanting a central, no-frills base finds the Market Street location keeps both the Strand and the depot within an easy walk. There is little published detail on amenities, so it suits a simple visit rather than a resort-style stay. Confirming specifics directly before booking helps avoid surprises on arrival at a property this small and this compact overall.
